Black Art Matters Exhibit Opening

Updated: May 3, 2019

February is Black History Month, and The Gallery Below in Colorado Springs is featuring local black artists throughout the month as well as having live events every weekend to celebrate the local community. For the exhibit opening, they got together with Poetry719 for a Black Voices Matter open mic night. I attended the first portion of the event and got some great pictures of excellent local singers and poets. I highly recommend checking out The Gallery Below, and keeping an eye out for future Poetry719 events!

Bonus excitement: the gallery contacted me recently about using some of my images for a feature article that The Independent is running on the exhibit! I am honored and excited to have some of my work considered to represent their event!
