First Friday Art Show

Updated: May 4, 2019

A friend of mine curates a small gallery here in Colorado Springs and she asked me to hang some pieces in it! The gallery opened on the first Friday of October, and the pieces will hang all month. You should come by the Pikes Peak Market if you are in the area and check it out. My pieces are hanging alongside pieces by four other local artists: three photographers and a print-maker (printer?). The market has some really cool local shops as well, including clothing, home goods, and some great local food and drinks.

This is the first time I have had anything in an art show since high school photography, and I'm not sure that counts since you automatically get stuff in that show if you take the class. It's really neat to see my pictures in print, hanging on a wall. They take on a different quality when they are realized in something physical, and I took care to get them in some nice matting and frames. Below are some pictures of the display.

Below are the pieces that are hanging in no particular order. If you can make it to the show, I definitely encourage you to do so. I love the way the pictures look in print on nice photo paper.
