Sarah and Cole's wedding at the Hillside Gardens
I met Sarah and Cole in a coffee shop a few months ago. They came across my pictures through Sarah's brother, who is a friend of mine, and I am thrilled that they hired me to shoot their wedding. They were so much fun and so full of energy that I felt like I could really blend into the background and get shots of them and their guests enjoying themselves naturally in a beautiful setting. The weather was pretty interesting too, with a downpour an hour before the wedding party arrived at the venue, and storm clouds moving through in the distance throughout the evening.
This was a very personal ceremony. Friends came to help set everything up, many of the decorations were made by friends, and the wedding favors were made by the very excellent @bonbon_bombardier, the owners of which are family of the bride and groom. The groom is also an artist and sculpted all of the awesome centerpieces with his mom.

A particularly tall guest helped carry the dress over wet ground.

I followed the groom to get pictures as he got ready in front of some beautiful natural light coming through the window.

And on to the bridal cottage to photograph the bride getting ready with her family and friends.

On to first look pictures!

And finally the ceremony, with a couple of shots in the lead-up to the precessional.

The reception was a ton of fun, with lots of dancing and great food!

I shoot weddings in a documentary style and will travel anywhere. I am based out of the Pikes Peak region. Contact me through my website if you would like to discuss details.
