Sarah and Cole's Maternity Shoot

Last summer I shot Sarah and Cole's wedding at the Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs. You can see photos from that event on my blog here. I had the pleasure this month of taking maternity photos for this lovely couple. They are truly a joy to be around, and I am so excited for them to be growing their family!

We started at their house, exploring the baby's room before going outside for some photos in their hammock and around their "sentimental barrel." We then went on a walk at Palmer Park with their dog for some outdoor shots. My goal for this shoot was to capture their joy and excitement for this moment in their lives, as well as to chronicle some of the physical signs of that anticipation: the baby's room ready to be occupied, Sarah's pregnant belly, symbols of their love. It was a lot of fun and a new opportunity for me as my first maternity shoot!
